A Kick-off meeting provided the opportunity to align with other company stakeholders with a proposed brief, based on lean research.
Further discovery was undertaken by myself, the PM and HoP: analysing current platform usage data, financial data and interviewing both SCOs and large Suppliers.
As the deadline was set to support marketing campaigns and 1 SCOs new stance of making the platform mandatory for their Suppliers, the MVP's scope was carefully crafted and all stakeholders aligned. Risks were considered, their impact and what could be done to mitigate if possible. The MVP specs were drafted, as stated below.
MVP: data submission screen, of the UI for corporate data submissions
User testing sessions were minimal due to the tight deadline. However, we spoke with a potential future customer. Below are the q's I wrote and asked our user testers.
I user tested with some Suppliers that were most likely to use this version of the product, to test the overall usability, but it also served to gage general interest in the proposition. This consisted of 1:1 interviews and then a test of the MVP wireframe, where they went through the prototype and I was on hand to monitor and answer questions.
The outcome was that the prototype was simple enough to understand, but that the ask of the data itself was still seen as invasive.
I designed for the next stage of the MVP, which was to incorporate a data uploader, using Importok as the framework: see left. At this point, I stopped working on the project.
